At the moment, it’s incredibly easy to feel image-conscious and to put a lot of emphasis on looking your best.
Following the closure of salons and barbers for months, many of us have been left feeling rather ungroomed.
But one hairdresser was left baffled as their customer started applying the hair dye themselves during the appointment.
Since reopening, hairdressers have been overwhelmed with back-to-back bookings as customers flock to get their locks redone.
Hairstylist Hailey Denker ( @haileydenker ) was left feeling confused by her latest customer who she caught sneakily adding extra dye to her own hair.
The customer clearly thought that she knew best
when it came to how much colour was needed on her barnet.
The woman’s foils were already in when she cheekily started adding the extra dye from the bowl, while a stylist in the background looks on bemused.
Filming her doing so, Hailey shared the viral video online and joked: “When your client thinks you didn’t put enough foils in…
“She insisted on adding lightner in herself.”
Lots of people weren’t left impressed by the customer’s antics, with one commenting: “I would never do her hair again if I were you.”
A second said: “The hairdresser in the back is just laughing at her.”
“I’d take the bowl from her, leave the colour to process then laugh at her when she complains it’s uneven,” wrote one stylist.
Another added: “I”m not surprised, I had a lady grab my shears and cut her own hair.”
One woman blasted: “Hope she let her mess up her own hair lol.
“There’s a reason they are called hair stylists.”
